4/15: Elliott Summey, Charleston International Airport

April 15, 2025

Elliot Summey, CEO of Charleston International Airport, gave us update on the growth of the state’s largest airport.  Major expansion plans include adding additional gates, a renovated terminal, better check in, security and baggage services,  and more parking as our region grows and requires more inbound and outbound flights. Elliot talked about how the airport is a key factor in our region’s economic growth and also is the first and last impression visitors to Charleston get so it’s important to have clean, well run facility that makes the travel experience enjoyable and convenient. He gave us an update the addition of more more flights including international routes which hopefully will include with the return of direct flight London Heathrow in the future.
