NEWS BRIEFS

Rookie of the Year Award to Jay Gibson

2022-23 Rotary Rookie of the Year: Jay Gibson

Rotary Club of Charleston also has an annual “Rookie of the Year” Award.  This Award is presented to a Rotarian who has been in the Club less than 18 months and has had a major impact.  This person has shown enthusiasm in demonstrating ‘Service above Self’ while also provided leadership in our Club.

This year’s recipient joined our club as a new member in January of 2022.  He was asked that Spring if he would use his expertise and knowledge to assist the club in the upcoming year as one of our Board Members was stepping down from his role. This new Rotarian didn’t even hesitate. He stepped right up to the plate and agreed to serve as our Treasurer. He also took on the task of chairing a successful Salvation Army Bell ringing campaign this past December. This year’s Rookie of the Year is Jay Gibson.  Jay – we’re so glad to have you as a member!

Payment is due promptly within 30 days.  As a reminder, we are able to accept credit card and bank transfer payments on-line.  Members just simply have to click on the “pay now” button on their invoice and make payment.  We hope this feature makes those of you paying by credit card or bank transfer easier. We also continue to also accept payments by check.
